Desk to Datacenter Episode 2: Cisco 3850 Config

 

I'm going to start this post much like I ended the video.  A huge thank you to my friends that work with networking equipment for a living.  I know how a much much better understanding of what they do and how they do it!

Basically we're starting with a blank switch, configuring routing, adding some vlans, and a couple dhcp pools and going about our way.

Desk to Data Center Episode 1

 

Here is the first episode of the Desk to Datacenter series.  I show off the equipment we'll be using to get started and discuss cabling and some other parts about how a real datacenter gets setup.

This is a pretty short one bceause we don't have a real datacenter so we aren't worried about environmentals, redundant power, uninterrupted power, etc.  Just "racking and stacking."
