Desk to Datacenter Episode 2: Cisco 3850 Config

I'm going to start this post much like I ended the video.  A huge thank you to my friends that work with networking equipment for a living.  I know how a much much better understanding of what they do and how they do it!

Basically we're starting with a blank switch, configuring routing, adding some vlans, and a couple dhcp pools and going about our way.

If you want to see the commands it's all in the description of the video or you can find it all on the git hub.

Hope you enjoy!

Desk to Data Center Episode 1

Here is the first episode of the Desk to Datacenter series.  I show off the equipment we'll be using to get started and discuss cabling and some other parts about how a real datacenter gets setup.

This is a pretty short one bceause we don't have a real datacenter so we aren't worried about environmentals, redundant power, uninterrupted power, etc.  Just "racking and stacking."

Thanks and enjoy!

MobaXterm - Tools We Use

As a system administrator, managing multiple remote servers can be a hassle, especially if you're using different tools for each one. That's where MobaXterm comes in. It's a powerful and versatile terminal emulator for Windows that combines all the essential Unix commands with built-in X server, tabbed SSH client, network tools and more.

With MobaXterm, you can easily manage your remote sessions, transfer files, and run graphical applications, all from a single, customizable interface. Plus, it supports a wide range of protocols, including SSH, Telnet, Rlogin, FTP, SFTP, and XDMCP.

Of course, there are other terminal emulators out there, like PuTTY, iTerm2, and Terminator. But what sets MobaXterm apart is its rich set of features and ease of use. For example, MobaXterm offers a built-in session manager that lets you save and organize your connections, a macro recorder that lets you automate repetitive tasks, and a tabbed interface that lets you switch between sessions with ease.

Why do I personally like MobaXterm? Well, it's fast, reliable, and has everything I need to manage my remote servers in one place. Plus, it's free for personal use, with a paid version available for commercial use.

Whether you're a system administrator or anyone who needs to manage multiple remote connections, I highly recommend giving MobaXterm a try. With MobaXterm, you'll be able to work more efficiently and get more done in less time.

So, what are you waiting for? Head over to MobaXterm's website and download it for free today!
